2011 Annual Meeting Presentation

Our 2011 Annual Meeting was held in Anchorage, Alaska on August 24th. The meeting was hosted by Larry Hartig, Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, and 115 persons attended.Our theme was “Deepwater Horizon – What Have We Learned?” In addition to activity updates from our member jurisdictions and the Task Force, invited speakers reviewed recommendations from both the National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling and from the U.S. Coast Guard’s Incident Specific Preparedness Review (ISPR) report. We also reviewed follow-up actions taken by state and federal agencies, as well as by the oil and response industries.To see videos of specific presentations click on one of the subjects to the right.
