The 34rd Annual Meeting of the Pacific States/British Columbia Oil Spill Task Force was held virtually on November 16th, 2023. The Annual Meeting offers an opportunity for the Task Force members to share updates on our work on current issues in spill prevention, preparedness, response and recovery.

Session 3: Environmental Justice in Spill Response
Oil spills can often disproportionately impact remote, vulnerable, or underrepresented communities. This session will explore considerations for environmental justice in oil spill prevention, preparedness, and response, with an emphasis on equitable access to information and building two-way channels of communication.
